Memorial

Fun with Friends

On April 5 after sundown, Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide held the Memorial—
an annual commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ.

After the Memorial, Joe and Phyllis invited a few over for refreshments.
Glenn, Bobby, Me and Taline (eating ice cream)

Chocolate ice cream + 3 little ones = trouble!
Phyllis is brave—all was good!
Me, Lolita and Carla
Lolita was there with her son, Dan and his children, Taline, Carla and Triston
Debbie, Joyce and I
Louise, Phyllis and Marlene
Present but not pictured: Patti, Mel, Aaron and Joe

Joyce is in her early 70s.  As a result of stroke, she is blind.  I visit her twice a week, study the Bible with her and read to her.  She's feisty and we get along just fine!

When Aaron and I picked her up, she told me that I had to call her son.  I had to tell him who I was, what we were doing, where we were going and when we would get back.  She has three sons and they take very good care of her.  Because of their care, she is able to live independently despite being blind.  She always says, "I must have done something right!".
