Every once in a while it's nice to change up your routine! So that's what I did a couple Fridays ago. I drove down to Inarajan, a 45 minute drive to the south end of Guam. I met Jason, Julie and others at 9:00 a.m. before going out into the ministry. The south is much more rural than the villages we visit during our ministry. Here's Julie and Emma collecting mangoes fallen from a tree.
This type of house is very uncommon for Guam. Most homes are built out of concrete to withstand typhoons. When we stopped by for their bible study, the girls who live here were running around the yard trying to catch a fuzzy duckling.
This building is the post offices that service the area. It is about the size of a shipping container. Emma visits one of the postal workers who enjoys reading the Watchtower and Awake! magazines.
This is the view from a home we visited—a lush green oasis overlooking the grasslands and rolling hills. Quite lovely!
After service we went to the beach for a swim.
Then a quick rinse in the outdoor shower—with a view!
Aaron went diving after work so I stayed and enjoyed dinner with Jason and Julie.
Separate daycations—something we rarely do!

What a fun day, I love mixing things up like that. A change of pace is always nice. Love the outdoor shower, with the view. Cool!
ReplyDeleteI love out door shower's. Having fun as always..........mom
ReplyDeleteDaycation...love the word. Glad you enjoyed your change of pace. BTW, while taking a "bad" pic doesn't seem to ever be an issue for you (not everyone can pull off squid ink), you look especially good in the outdoor shower pic...just saying. (Maybe it's the peaceful pose...Grasshopper)
