Tatsuo gave the talk and then conducted the Watchtower Study. There were 54 in attendance, 16 of which were Bible students and their families. Chalcee came with her 4 children. She enjoyed the meeting very much and was quite touched by the singing. Aaron and I tried singing in Ponapean (quietly). Yoko helped me to prepare an answer in for the Watchtower Study. I didn't get called on but a little boy delivered the same comment in well-spoken Ponapean. Probably just as well!
We have been finding much interest in the Bible among those who've come from Pohnpei. It was exciting to be part of such a historic event. We look forward to seeing this small group of people grow into a congregation here on Guam. Who knows, maybe we'll try to learn the language ourselves!? Stranger things have happened!
Thanks for posting the pictures. We are so excited to hear any information with the Ponapean field in Guam.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the picture, its nice to put a face to the ones you tell us about. What a neat experience. Look forward to you teaching us a few Ponapean words when you come to visit.:) Special privilege to be a part of their first meeting. The kids are very cute.
ReplyDeleteWonderful that Chalcee was able to come...guess that study is working out. (Are you going to ask the Flowers to leave more often? ) And look at you...preparing comments and singing in Ponapean. All those reminders about being bold are apparently working--you'll inspire the rest of us.
