This 60-foot tower is known as the Latte of Freedom and can be seen from flights coming into Guam. It serves as an observation deck where visitors can take in the views of Guam's western coast. The latte stone has become a symbol of the very proud heritage of the Chamorro and Guamanian people.
Although it tells a very sad story, this sculpture March to the Concentration Camp, is beautifully rendered. Looking at it, you can feel the fear, frustration and pain these people must have experienced.
The placque reads, in part, "In commemoration of the thousands of Chamorros who fell victims of a terrible war not of their making…innocent brothers and sisters who succumbed to the brutalities of a senseless war…"

It's pretty silly I still haven't gone there, seeing as I drive by, say, 4 times a day. I'll take inspiration from you!
