As a result of the high surf, there have been waves for the surfers (or body boarders as we'd call them on the mainland). On the other side of things the waves have proved to be a danger to swimmers and kayakers alike. Sadly there have been a few deaths. Though we are anxious to take our kayaks out again, Aaron and I are keeping them in "dry dock" until the surf subsides.
I drove out to Asan Memorial Park to capture some images of the waves last Thursday. The parking lot was covered in debris. The sky was dark and the waves were high. As I snapped photo after photo, the sky began to darken. Just as I was putting the camera away, the clouds burst open. By the time I got to the car, half my body was soaked from the driving rain coming off the sea. I had to laugh because it happened so quickly.
Waves—so violent and yet so beautiful!
Wow, cool pictures and the one shot with the Palm Trees is a little eerie. Also, like the new background for the blog and the beauty shot.:)
ReplyDeleteWow! It's scary to think that it could turn so quickly. Humans are SO puny.
