World's Largest Kmart

Only on Guam


Guam's claim to fame is that they have the world's largest Kmart. We're not so sure BUT for a month prior to Christmas, I'd advise you to stay away! The store is crawling with people. And the parking lot is full. The day after Thanksgiving they had a traffic cop on the highway at the entrance to keep traffic moving. There was a line to get into the parking lot. Now we understand the parking on the roof.

Aaron had to check out the roof parking. From one side of the parking lot, you have a view of the ocean. From the other side, the airport.

    I feel I must mentally prepare myself for each K-Mart visit! I generally try to park on the roof in any multi-floor parking lot (so I'll remember where I parked) but obviously here this is not an issue. We just zipped up there the other day and parked at the far corner, right by some other stairs. It's all about avoiding the drama of the crowds!
