Lunch with the Li & Yin Families

Fun with Friends

Aaron gave the public talk a few Sundays ago. We were invited to lunch by the Li (LEE) and the Yin families. It happened to be Mother's Day so Home Town was very busy—reservations required. Aaron and I suggested our landlord's restaurant, Red Dragon. The Li family is made up of Charlie, Fei and Renee (Rhea was home sick). The Yin family is James and Jeannie (Jeannie is Korean). Aaron and I like the food at Red Dragon but I think that it was different from what the others usually eat. Nevertheless, we had a lovely lunch. Our landlord came in while we were eating. He is (besides a restaurateur) an electrician—as is James. It just so happens that they knew each other back in China. Small world! Our landlord's wife and daughter were also working. They always give us a discount when we go in. They are very generous! Fei did her best to translate everything because everyone spoke Chinese unless they were talking to us. It was a lovely lunch. They were all surprised at our diverse taste in food.

James gave us some Chinese Tea. The red box is black tea and the other is a green tea. The black tea is very mild. I enjoyed a cup the other day. I have yet to try the green tea.
