A few weeks ago, we went to Ritidian Beach with Jason and Julie Burnett. It's the northern most point on Guam and is in a very secluded area of the island. Its isolated location offers a spectacular look into the natural, unspoiled beauty of the island. The beach itself is a long stretch of white, powdery sand beach. To get to Ritidian Beach we drove down a long road that travels the perimeter of Anderson Air Force Base, through a mostly uninhabited area on the island. The road is paved but hasn't been kept up—watch out for potholes! Once you get to the end, there is a trail through large trees and tall grass out to the beach. The road and beach is managed by the military which provides public access to the community only during daylight hours. The gate and public access closes at 4pm. Next time we're going to start a little earlier!

ReplyDeleteWow! Those pictures are great. Love the beach and water. A must see for me. The first picture when Jason has his shirt on and cap, looks like Ed to me. How neat to see all those Butterflies also.
