Pagat Cave is completely enclosed. The hike down to the cave is a pretty steep trail, 30 to 40 minutes thru the jungle. There is a fresh water pool inside the cave. When we arrived there were already people inside. They had lit candles so that they could see. It was pretty amazing. These photos really don't do it justice.
Left to right we've got Nathan, Aaron, Kyle, Lacey (above), Linda (can't remember the other girls name) and me.
After we swam in the cave we hiked out to the shore—or rather, the island's edge. It was beautiful. Reminded me of the Oregon Coast (the rock formations). The water was much bluer, and of course, warmer.
The hike back up the trail was a killer but we made it.
Took us about 3 hours total. We had a great day.
Those are some beautiful shots of the coast line. Water is so blue.
ReplyDeleteThat was neat inside the cave with the candles. Looked like a fun day.
