On January 2nd, Aaron and I attended the Annual Congregation Pioneer Meeting. Part of the information presented encouraged us to cultivate self-control in "all things" (1 Cor. 9:25). We were encouraged to get sufficient rest, schedule time for personal study, eat properly and use our time wisely. All good reminders to pace ourselves throughout the year. Our congregation, Central Guam, has 17 pioneers.* It was also encouraging too to see so many of our elders in attendance at the meeting. Afterward we were treated to dinner at one of the local buffets. It was nice to get to know everyone just a little better. Here are some of the friends that were there...

* A pioneer is one who volunteers 70 hours or more each month in the ministry—teaching people how the bible is practical for every day life and helping them to build a personal relationship with God.
How encouraging..........I'm looking forward to meeting all your new family. Mom
