Warwick, NY

It was a beautiful autumn day at Jehovah's Witnesses World Headquarters in Warwick, NY.

We first made our way through the exhibit,
Courage to Stand Firm In a Time of Trial
The Story of the Bible Students from 1914 to 1919

If you'd like to view a video presentation about the exhibit click here or go to jw.org
and search "January 2019 Broadcast" (the video starts around 0:12:30).

God's name, Jehovah, occurs 7,216 times in the scriptures.
His name is displayed here in 565 languages as part of the exhibit
The Bible and The Divine Name
If you'd like to view a video presentation about the exhibit click here or
go to jw.org and search "The Bible and The Divine Name".

The museum label reads:
Moabite Stone [Reproduction, actual height and width]
The earliest known non-Biblical ancient Hebrew Inscription of God's name
With this inscription, Moabite King Mesha boasts about his rebellion against Israel, stating: I took from it the vessels
of Jehovah, and offered them before Chemosh." Although Mesha was defeated, the inscription remains to this day,
confirming that the divine name was known even to pagan rulers.

See where the name is lit up on the stone?!

This is a reproduction (actual size) of a fragment of the
Fouad Papyrus No. 266 (c. 1st century B.C.E).
God's name in Hebrew letters occurs many time in this papyrus.
This fragment contains Deuteronomy 32:2, 6:

My instruction will fall as the rain;
My word will trickle as the dew,
As gentle rains upon grass
And copious showers upon vegetation.

Is this the way that you should treat Jehovah,
O foolish and unwise people?
Is he not your father who caused your existence,
The One who made you and firmly established you?

Gutenberg's Bible is studied as part of printing history. As the museum labels states:
The famous inventor Johannes Gutenberg set up a print shop in Mainz, Germany,
where he produced about 180 copies of this Bible…Gutenberg's invention
sparked a printing revolution that transformed communication.
Mass reproduction of the Bible soon became possible."

It was a fascinating exhibit!

A little walk around the grounds.

We hopped on a bus with our friends to tour Tuxedo Park
where they film our monthly broadcasts for jw.org.

Green screen. We were on the deck of Jonah's boat in the storm.
I have video but too embarrassed to show it. LOL!

It's all in the details!
Back at Warwick HQ—drain cover (left) restroom signs (right).

Right time! Right place!
Aaron and I were touring the Governing Body Offices on the 3rd floor. We sat down at the conference table of the Writing Committee. The brother giving the tour asked where we were all from. We answered Guam and someone answered Long Beach. Something clicked in Aaron's head. He turned toward the voice—he and Terri (right) simultaneously recognized each other. Brian (left) and Terri loaned us their home in Long Beach in 2017 while I prepared for and recovered from surgery. They generously opened their home to Aaron and I, as well as my parents and sister. It was so nice to see them again!

We caught up with our dear friends Edi and Rachel—FINALLY—we looked for them ALL day.
They used to live on Guam. Now they live and work from the branch in Australia.

The day was coming to a close. We had time for one last exhibit.
A People for Jehovah's Name

If you'd like to view a video presentation about the exhibit click here or

I've always thought it would be cool to see a presentation of The Photo Drama of Creation.
It was interesting to look through all the slides.

1942—Telegram from Klamath Falls, Oregon
It reads, in part: "We have been fighting the monsters who cut the wires, broke our windows, threw stink bombs, turned over and destroyed cars for three hours. City police unable to handle mob but the lecture "Peace Can It Last" was delivered…We are barricaded in building while mob is now a few blocks away…"

Part of the exhibit highlighted the firm stand
Jehovah's Witnesses have taken through the years for their faith.

There was SO MUCH to look at—posters, books and a variety of other preaching tools!

Jehovah's Witnesses in the Philippines.

Jehovah's Witnesses in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.

Jehovah's Witnesses in South Korea.

Jehovah's Witnesses in Mexico.

Modern day methods of sharing the good news of God's Kingdom—
simultaneous publishing, public video presentations, literature carts and jw.org website.
(just to name a few)

The day was wonderful but exhausting. We had to take some time to rest.
The view wasn't too bad.

We met our friends Dave and Chelsea (and cousin) for dinner.
They were in our congregation for a time and worked in construction in the islands.
