Copy Cats

You've all seen this painting a gazillion times. It hangs in our dining room, as you can see, and is the backdrop for many-a-meal and spirited game night. We were gifted this painting when we visited Australia. It was painted by Sharwin—you might remember her from the post Cairns Australia.

All too many times, Eric, Kina's brother has been heard saying, "When are you going to give me that painting?" My responses have varied, "Never…Get you're own painting…Not in a million years!" You get the idea.

However, when we heard that Richard and Tai (Sharwin's sister) were coming for a visit, Kina asked about the possibility of a copy being carried over with them on the plane (shipping between Australia and Guam is ridiculous).

I contacted Sharwin. She and Tai were excited about the prospect and worked together to paint a copy of the painting for Eric and Matt (brothers) who share a room at Bethel.

While the boys were diving, we girls met up. Tai presented the painting.
I was so pleased with the results. As expected, it turned out beautiful!

After the boys came home, we enjoyed a meal together at the Mermaid.

We presented the painting to Matt and Eric after Kina's return from Majuro.

It now adorns the wall of their room.
