Ed and Cindy

In the usual fashion, we toured Guam Bethel with Ed and Cindy. I'm hoping that I've included some photos that you've not seen before. Above is our sign from the main road.

I'm almost positive that you've not seen this sign on our Kingdom Halls, since it is relatively new.

During the tour, you can see the same issue of The Watchtower published in various island languages. Translation teams work on the islands where each language is spoken at Remote Translation Offices (RTO).

Translation teams around the world are tied in via internet so that they can overcome problems in translation together.

An example of alternate artwork, provided by our headquarters in New York. You can imagine how the photo on the right might appeal more to and be understood by the people in Micronesia.

Our generous hosts for lunch, Edi and Rachel. Quite by accident, we chose to join the Bethel family for lunch on pizza day. Yummy! After lunch, we were invited to Edy and Rachel's room for cappuccino. They're quite hospitable.

After coffee, Edi showed us the sound booths they're building to be sent out to the RTO's. Recordings will be made in the local languages. Many of the languages of Micronesia were not "written" languages until more recent times. We meet people in our ministry who cannot read the language they speak. These recording will help such ones to learn about Jehovah God in their mother tongue.
