Streets

Thailand

We saw images of the Emperor and his wife along the roadways.

Scooters are the customary mode of transportation—usually two, three, four or five to a scooter! Sometimes the whole family including a "babe in arms".

On Guam, we often see the Japanese tourists taking photos of license plates. We decided to do it too! The plate with green numbers was our rental car. Burnetts and Bogarts were in the Honda.

We've seen deer and elk crossing but this one was new to us.

This is how Phuket is wired. We wondered if this ever caused problems.

Apparently, it does!

Made a wrong turn down a dead-end street. No problem! Some guy on a scooter came along to show us the way. He asked us where we were going and then said "Follow me!" We're pretty sure he gets paid to help lost tourists.

With this affirmation, who wouldn't shop here?!

A design shop that specializes in signs should know better but I've seen this time and time again.
It must be a language thing. We see it on Guam all the time.

In English, this does not translate well!

  1. Some great signs, my favorite is the elephant and Cafe De Pooh. Did you eat there? The wiring is crazy.
