Around the Point at Playa Ancha to Laguna Verde

 We decided to explore down the coast highway around the the point at Playa Ancha.

It was a little overcast and foggy to start.

We dropped down into this little beach community in search of restroom.

This beach in particular reminded me of the Oregon Coast.

There were signs of tourism in this community but absolutely nobody 

around so we determined that we must be in the off season.

As the fog cleared, my need for a restroom grew but my hopes of finding anything open were bleak.

We enjoyed watching this dory being pulled in by a tractor and seeing the sailboat on the horizon.

After, we stopped at a restaurant which APPEARED to be under renovation 

but ended up being a delightful surprise. It was open! They were ready to serve us. 

The restroom was imaculate and the food was DELICIOUS!

The staff was friendly and hospitable.

If you ever find yourself in Laguna Verde, Chile, stop at El Galeon.

On our way back, since the fog had lifted, we could see where we’d been.

We traveled inland from ‎⁨Viña del Mar to see our new friends Alex and Vania. They invited us to Vania's cousin, Georgina's home where we enjoyed BBQ with Alex, Vania, Georgina and her husband Gonzalo, Georgina’s parents and a single brother, Guillermo.

They lived in a valley much like Aaron's hometown in Oregon.

A simple meal with beautiful people!
