Convention Day Two

Chile Special Convention

Day two is when we met our NOW dear friends Vania and Alex.
I’ll share that story in another post.
This tall cowboy is originally from—of all places—Pendleton, Oregon. Maybe you know him?!
He was nearly 7 feet tall and so very popular with the Chilean people.
This sister is showing the sticker I gave her on her water bottle.
I love this dress. They were from the U.S. but the dress was from the Caribbean.
Becky and Mark from Saipan
There were parrots up in the rafters making a ruckus during the session.
One of the hospitality tents and a photo area
This is Baltazar, a character that lives up to his name.
Aaron handed him the phone to take our photo with Matt and Minori.
He ended up taking 60 or so photos.
“Okay, that’s enough!” says Minori.
He wanted to be in our photo with his Deadpool mask.
This young couple were newly married and not yet baptized from Chile.
They wanted to be baptized at the special convention
but were unable to complete the formalities.
This is Leo, a very good photographer from a congregation near Valparaiso.
We went to a meeting with his congregation later in the week.
Sadly, we didn’t get to see him.
This older couple made such an effort to communicate with us. It was endearing.
They did not speak any English and only Aaron speaks some Spanish.
Our sister from Israel. Her flight was canceled. She was able to get another and make it in time for the convention. Because of the ongoing conflict in her country, she was unsure of when she would able to get back. She ended up spending several weeks with the friends in Chile.
