Convention Day One

Chile Special Convention

Bright and early on the bus Friday morning—
we watched the sun rise as we left the city.
We arrived at the Salón de Asambleas Delos Testigos de Jehová el Trébol around 8:30 a.m.
(Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses)

We worked our way up through the crowd from the bus toward the assembly hall
after receiving our sack lunches—greeting people along the way.
This is Marisol, the first person we had an extended conversation with.
We were freezing and she offered us coffee.

Making new friends
Keeping old ones

The venue was open-air, making the mornings quite chilly. Fortunately, the afternoons were more comfortable. Our hosts generously provided two large tents equipped with seating, propane heaters, and hot beverages, which was a great relief. Additionally, a video screen at the front allowed us to follow the program while staying warm.

At the end of the day, we were happy and exhausted,
waiting for the long bus ride back to the hotel—smiles in tact!
