Trip to Kyoto 京都

On our way to Kyoto for a few days.

A bullet train leaves the Shinagawa Station at 10:20 a.m. traveling 200 miles an hour…
Just kidding! We don't do math on my blog.

Mt. Fuji from the train.

A few hours and 280 miles later we arrived.

We decided to walk from the station to our hotel and take in the sites along the way.

We arrived at the Centurion Cabin Hotel & Spa in Central Kyoto, at the heart of everything.

Our individual cabins—a little like bunkbeds…

…complete with Japanese TV.

Old world Kyoto meets new world Kyoto.

Browsing the shops, rows and rows of shops.

"Ooh, I want to try that one!"

Somehow we ended up on opposite sides of the street.

Posers.

Interesting company name—HUMAN EXPRESS.

Shrines squeezed in-between tall buildings.

Kids—just hangin' around!

Winter garden.

Kicking myself for not trying one of these on—BUT it was COLD!

A trendy little restaurant we tried later that evening.

I told you! It was COLD!

Santa took a second job delivering pizza this year.

Local brewed beer.

Numbers hanging in the trees. Not sure why but it looks cool.
