Jetsetting

My lovely sister-in-law, Jennie and nephew, Will

Since we had time to kill between surgeries, we decided to go to Oregon.
We flew into Portland and stayed the night with Jennie and her boys.

Jack (the cat) was insistant. He wanted to lay on my chest. The pillow was a counter measure.

Aaron's brother, Tim and longtime friend, Steven—
both have been to see us on Guam!

Tim and then girlfriend (now wife), Alisa came up from Salem for the evening. Congratulations, you two!

Jennie with Huston (boyfriend) and his daughter, Courtney. Thanks for grabbing us at the airport, Huston!

My nephews Reid, Will and Cole (youngest to oldest, left to right)

Uncle Aaron on the trampoline with the boys.

The following day, Jennie drove us down to Salem.
Cindy invited Jennie and the boys to join us and a small group of friends for lunch.

Uncle Tim called to see if the boys wanted to check out his helicopter at the Salem Airport. Well...yeah!

Iced tea with our dear friend, Mary—a true southern belle.

Mary's grandson Jason (longtime friend) and great-grandson Tristin happened to be visiting from Mexico. It was a treat to see them!

Lunch with friends, Brian and Summer. Samuel, oldest of their two boys,
"chose the better portion" and accompanied his grandma in the ministry—such a responsible young man.

Ed and Cindy loaned us their car so that we could drive down to Southern Oregon. They're the best! We drove first to Medford to spend a day with my sister, Jenn and her boys Matt (left) and Andrew (right with wife, Kylie). It was our first time meeting Kylie in person.

Meanwhile back home…
Jacob, Brandon, Matthew, Jessi, Brittni, Dae, Shawn and Erika

Brandon, caught in the act!

We spent the rest of our time in Grants Pass with Aaron's Dad and Martina. On our way to brunch!

Our tradition—wine tasting in the Applegate Valley

It was a quick visit but we made the best of it.
Back to LA.
