Gimpo Assembly Hall

Aaron and I planned to ride the bus down to the Gimpo Assembly Hall from our hotel. Sadly the card we had would not work, so we had to walk. It was only a thirty minute walk and the weather was not too bad. We met this sister from France on the way. She too was visiting one of the students.

Gimpo Assembly Hall consists of four buildings. The main building includes the assembly hall and cafeteria. Behind that is a 4-plex which houses the caretaker and visiting instructors. To the right of the assembly hall is a two-story building—classrooms are on the first floor and a Kingdom Hall is on the second. Across the parking lot from the assembly hall is the student residence. It is a lovely campus.

Aaron peeked in on the student rehearsal while we waited for the Friends and Family activities to commence.

The students sang a few songs.

There was an abundance of talent within the group.

We enjoyed a lovely meal and happy association. As we watched the students interact with each other, it was apparent that they had
become very close over the two months. It was heartwarming—for they were eager to share their joy with friends and family!

We arrived at the Gimpo Assembly Hall early for the Graduation Program on Sunday.
There was a shuttle from the hotel to take us there.

Obligatory photos in the lobby.

Korean photobombers.

The auditorium seats just over 2000.

The program included talks by a representative of the Korea Branch of JWs, talks by each of the instructors
for the SKE and a Watchtower summary. Each of the students made a comment for the Watchtower.

A few of the students were interviewed and some reenacted experiences.

Kathleen and Curtis received their assignment in recognition of their completion of the school.
We're excited that they will be returning to Guam. They are assigned to the Chuukese congregation.
Most of the students returned to where they were serving prior to the school.

Curtis, the most "mature" of the students, read a letter of thanks.

A light lunch was prepared for all in attendance.

We discovered a mutual friend with this sister.

Class dismissed. Time to play!

Interesting fact: the curbs in Seoul are all granite.

Later that evening we went for burgers and fries at a local fast food restaurant.
Yes, my friends, I had fast food! A rarity indeed.
