A trip to Chuuk would not be complete without touring the Remote Translation Office (RTO), an extension of the Micronesia Branch on Guam.
The RTO is located atop a hill. The view is quite lovely.
The residents invited us to join them for lunch. You may remember Lito and Sally (left)
from a previous post. They were my classmates for Pioneer Service School in 2010.
This young sister just started working at the RTO.
Purine (Pui) and her husband Kurt are part of translation. They were recently in Oregon to visit the Chuukese
group in the Salem/Portland area. A few of you met them! Thanks for taking care of them!
Translators work in teams of three. You can see the station above. If you haven't already, check out the video
Namibia RTO Dedication Report. It describes the process and benefits of translation.
Aaron trying out the sound booth where they record audio
in Chuukese for meetings and field ministry.
See publications in Fósun Chuuk.

Interesting. Aaron looked goofy in the sound booth :)
ReplyDeleteThank you brothers for this nice overview of the work related to the Good news in this distant Island in the Pacific.
ReplyDeleteThey may be remote but they were not isolated from Jehovah's worldwide brotherhood.
