Construction

South Guam Kingdom Hall

Our construction days are over, at least for the time being.  Following are a few images showing the progress made over the last couple of months.  The project is nearly complete.  Most of the construction team has left Guam for the next project—Majuro in the Marshall Islands.

The auditorium has been painted and the ceiling and lights installed.
One of the best things about construction is that we got to work with so many really cool people—friends we may have never gotten to know so well. Alan (above) comes to us from the Marshall Islands. He's a member of the construction team. Best laugh I've ever heard!

Chris (top right photo, w/o hard hat) is from Guam—very kind and humble. Best smile!

And then we have Jonilee—quiet as a mouse with a heart of gold!

Shem (middle) won my heart as well!
As you can imagine, the entire project was a joy. Hard work but so rewarding.

Funny story
When we arrived on Guam, the very night, Roger who picked us up at the airport asked us if we wanted to go to a gathering—just off the plane after 20 hours of travel!  We went. It was a party for Shem who had just joined the construction team!
We'll have to get a final photo once the landscaping is complete but for now, this is—THE END!

  3. Your photos make me think of songs 126 & 127 in our new song book. Beautiful songs! What a privilege to build something for Jehovah!
