This is a Lorikeet. They are noisy birds but beautifully dressed.
Cairns is framed by rainforested hills to the west, a harbor to the east and mangrove swamps to the north and south. The Esplanade, with its many hostels, shops and eateries, runs along the waterfront. Aaron and I spent a morning nosing about.

The board walk is quite long and I'm exhausted already!
I love these benches!
breakfast anyone?
This is a public swimming pool and man-made beach. FREE.
A brilliant idea since the waters are not safe for swimming
due to crocs (the overgrown lizard, not the shoe) and stingers (jellyfish).
I love the color of this palm. We have these in Guam too.
again...beautiful! I mean the scenery...but if you want to think i mean the pic of you two then feel free! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys really enjoyed how beautiful it is there....cause it must have been a real downer to go back to such a wasteland where you live. again :)
nice photos guys
What a beautiful place. Would love to spend sometime there, looked like lots of fun things to see and do, but relaxing also. Beaches looked wonderful and I also love the color of that palm. The bird had beautiful color also. Thanks again for giving us a taste of Cairns. Oh, I almost forgot, great artwork also. Reminds me of an artist I know.:)
ReplyDeleteYou two are having so much fun!!! I forgot to mention I've seen Clifton beaches before! were just so popular!
